VASES AND FLOWER ARRANGING, A PARTIIAL HISTORY

Helen Hixon – Flower arrangements were ever present in my childhood home in Southern California and my grandparents’ home in Holland. In the years since becoming a potter, I have explored creating ceramic vessels that best highlight the beauty of flowers. In my talk I will explore family themes and some historical perspectives on flower arrangements and the vessels used.
